Jan 30: Many Hands...One Voice! Benefit Concert for Haiti - Jan. 31, 2010

The people of Haiti have experienced a catastrophe of unprecedented proportions. Help is needed in all aspects: food, water, medicine, shelter and the general rebuilding of not just a community, but a whole country.

On Sunday, January 31, 2010, from 7 pm to 10 pm, a free benefit concert will be held at Hope Fellowship Church, 1685 Bloor Street, Courtice, Ontario to help raise funds to benefit those in Haiti.

The concert features many talented and caring artists including Mike "Pinball" Clemons, Diane Lee-Clemons, Jay Calder, Kelita, Paulis Sanchez and Terry Posthumus. Local talent will also include Oceanic Air, Stones Throw and others.

This concert is one of the biggest fund raising events for Haiti being held in the Durham Region, to date. We invite you to share the evening with us. To reach out your hands and help these people who are hurting, hungry and desperate. A free-will offering will be taken and all proceeds will go to the relief work in Haiti via World Vision.

Nov 28: New Album Underway - Pre-Production Session

So, I ventured into the studio today to begin laying down scratch tracks for the next album release. As of right now, there will be 13 tracks on this next project although, I am not sure how I am going to release it.

The thing is, most people purchase the album and then digitize the CD in order to play it on thier computers or iPods. So, I am thinking about whether it makes sense to make a tonne of CDs or to limit the amount of hard-copies and to really work the whole download side of music purchasing. More to follow, I am sure!

For now though, let's just focus on the fact that the next album is underway! I hope to have it ready for the summer.

Don't forget, you can purchase "Amazed...by Grace!" or "Nothing That Compares" (pre-release, homegrown version) right now!
